TwinkleLetters is operated by Foodel Ltd, a company registered in Estonia (European Union). Contact: hello@twinkleletters.com. This policy explains what we collect when you order a letter, why, and how long we keep it. We wrote it to be short and plain.
Who our service is for
TwinkleLetters is for parents, guardians and other adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect information directly from children. A parent or guardian enters the details used in the letter.
What we collect
- Letter details you type in: your child's first name, age and the moments and interests you choose to share. Please share only what you are happy to see in the letter. Don't include last names, addresses, school names or health information.
- Order and contact details: your email address and payment status, from Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
How we use it
Only to write, deliver and support your letter: to create the letter text, show you the PDF, email you the download link and help if you contact us. We do not sell your information or share it with anyone except the service providers below.
Service providers
- Stripe: processes your payment.
- Anthropic: the AI service that drafts the letter text from your details. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic does not use this data to train its models.
- Netlify: hosts the website and temporarily stores your order.
- Resend: sends our emails.
- Google: measures how our ads perform (see Cookies below).
- Meta (Facebook, Instagram): measures how our ads perform (see Cookies below).
How long we keep it
- Letter details you typed in: deleted as soon as your letter is written (unpaid orders after 3 days).
- The finished letter: kept for 30 days so you can download it again, then deleted.
- Payment records: kept by Stripe and in our accounting records as the law requires. They do not include your child's details.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete your information, including deleting your letter early. Email hello@twinkleletters.com. If you are in the EU, you may also complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (aki.ee).
Cookies
We use the Google tag (Google Ads) and the Meta Pixel (Facebook, Instagram) to measure whether our ads work: they record visits to our pages, when checkout starts and, after payment, that a purchase happened and its value. They do not receive your child's details or the letter text. Google and Meta may set cookies for this. You can limit ad personalization at adssettings.google.com and in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings, or block cookies in your browser.
Your browser may also remember the form you are filling in during your visit so you don't lose it.
